Lisa Winston works with a student

Lisa Winston is an invaluable pillar of the Social Work Department, bringing unmatched dedication, expertise, and heart to her role every day. She consistently goes above and beyond, always willing to step in, support, and uplift both her colleagues and the students she serves.

A true mentor and leader, Lisa’s institutional knowledge and unwavering commitment make her the lynchpin of the Social Work Program. Her impact extends far beyond her daily responsibilities—she challenges her peers to grow, encourages them to step outside their comfort zones, and inspires those around her to strive for excellence.

As one colleague shared, “She inspires me to be the best social worker I can be and challenges me to go outside my comfort zone when appropriate.” Lisa’s dedication, guidance, and compassion make her more than deserving of the Employee of the Month recognition.
