Basic Needs

• Childcare Assistance Program (CCAP) - Connects families to resources for finding, qualifying, and paying for child care and early education programs.
• Innovation Learning at Gavin Central - A childcare and learning program for students within Gavin District 37.
• ISBE Child Care Provider Search - Child care resource and referral services are available in all Illinois communities through a local Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Agency.
• NannyLane - A service that helps you find full or part-time in-home childcare.
• PALS After School Program  - After- school care through the  Vernon Hills Park District.
• TOTS Therapeutic Child Care Center - Offers full-time childcare for children with disabilities in Lake Zurich and Mundelein.  A diagnosis is not required for enrollment. While SEDOL cannot formally endorse TOTS, they are attempting to fill a much-needed niche. We would like to give our families the opportunity to explore whether the program may meet the needs of their children.
• Wauconda Park District CLUB - A full-time CLUB for those working families that need care during school hours.

Antioch Area Health Care Accessibility Alliance - Medical assistance for families living within Antioch, Grant, and Lake Villa Townships. 

Willow Creek Care Center - A wide range of services are offered, including vision and dental clinics, employment services, legal aid,  car repairs, and more.

• FoodPantries.org -  Find a food pantry. 
• Keeping Families Covered - Provides diapers, period supplies, and other basic needs to families.
• Lake County 211 - Support available 24/7 to assist with basic needs, childcare, finances, housing and mental health.
• Lake County Health Department & Community Health Center
• Lasagna Love - Request a homecooked meal for someone who needs it.
• My Pantry Express - an online food pantry operated by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
• Northern Illinois Food Bank - Locate food pantries and soup kitchens by zip code.
• SNAP Program - Extra funds to low income families to buy groceries.

• Affordable Housing Resources - Affordable housing activities for households that are ineligible under federal guidelines, but still in need of assistance.
• Catholic Charities -  Emergency shelter and partnership programs to help to meet the needs of families.
• Community Partners for Affordable Housing - resources to assist with housing needs.
• Community Action Partnership of Lake County - Their Mission is to reduce the causes and effects of poverty, promote self-sufficiency of families and individuals with low incomes, and improve the standard of living in the Lake County service area.
• Illinois Dept of Commerce & Economic Opportunity - Provides assistance with energy bills, income assistance, and job training for qualified individuals.
• Rental Assistance - Emergency rent and housing assistance.

• Lifeline National Verifier - Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service.
