Hearing Itinerant
Itinerant services are provided to students with a hearing loss and who are determined to be eligible for services through the IEP process. Students may receive both instructional and consultative services. Instruction is provided to students based on their educational needs and may include self-advocacy, academic skills, language, and communication skills. We value the collaborative process with member districts as it allows us to enhance our student experience and prepare them for life when they exit the program.
Hearing Itinerants services include:
Instructional:
1:1 and small group instruction by a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Transition planning as part of the IEP process
Communication:
Ongoing communication with families, Collaboration with educational team, Student access to remote microphone systems as needed
Professional Development:
Instruction/training and best practices for working with students with hearing loss
