After earning my Master of Science from Rush University, I was offered an audiology residency (CFY) at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles, California. Which focused on clinical audiological evaluations, cochlear implants, and cochlear implant research.
After 9 years at the House Ear Clinic, I moved to Illinois and took a position at SEDOL. Where I’m responsible for diagnostic audiological evaluations on children. Aural rehabilitation, assistive listening device orientation, and training. Evaluation and monitoring of all individual amplification devices, including cochlear implants. Preceptor for Northwestern University and Rush University - Supervise Au.D. Students.
Our mission at John Powers Center is to strive to deliver functionality and optimal care for our cochlear implant /hearing aid students in the educational setting.
