Alyssa Stockwell, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

My name is Alyssa Stockwell (she/her/hers) and I am proud to be a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. I am a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and am licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Illinois. I am from Mundelein, Illinois, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Northern Illinois University, and my Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of South Carolina. I began my career with SEDOL in 2003. In addition to my role as an SLP, I am also the American Sign Language Class Program Coordinator at John Powers Center and love helping families begin their journey in acquiring a new language! I have a true passion for supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in their acquisition of a strong language foundation! I strongly believe that ASL/English bilingualism helps students to develop the skills to be successful in all areas of life.
