Technology at Laremont encompasses many aspect of each student's day and plays a key role in their ability to interact with their environment and communicate with others. Technology is incorporated into curriculum instruction, communication, art, music, and leisure. All students have time in the Computer Lab each week, where they build computer access skills through fun and motivating activities. A variety of alternate access methods are used, including switches, touch windows and an interactive board. Just as each child is unique, the technology needs and solutions for each child are evaluated on an individual basis. The Laremont Assistive Technology Team (LAT) is available to facilitate different strategies to help each child become independent and successful. If you are interested in learning how your child can use different technology tools at home, please contact your child's teacher. We would be happy to share what is working well at school.
