I am excited as I go in my third year as a Certified Teacher at Cyd Lash Academy.   I have six years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant at Cyd Lash prior to becoming a teacher here.  Before that, I was an engineer with a primary focus in industrial engineering and management, as well as some civil engineering. I still do consulting in the engineering field when I’m on breaks from school.  My years in engineering and management provide me a real world view on teaching.  I like to relate every lesson to why my students will need the skills they are learning.

I am currently back to school working on a master's degree in curriculum and instruction.

I spent 28 years in the private sector, and I can definitively say the rewards I receive as a teacher at Cyd Lash far outway any bonus check I ever received.  I get to watch my students transform in our program and reach their potential.
