I have been a school social worker at Laremont for many years. I previously worked with children and adults in a program that serves people with disabilities. I enjoy connecting families with resources while in school and preparing for services once school is finished. I co-lead a sibling support group called Sibshop which is primarily a fun support group, not a therapeutic group.

I started working with SEDOL in 2017 as a paraprofessional. I knew that this was the field that I wanted to stay in, so I switched my major to school social work. While in school, I left SEDOL to be able to complete my internships. I returned in 2023 to my dream job at Laremont. For my part-time work, I am a registered behavior therapist for children with autism and this has allowed me to be able to expand my work with the students that I advocate for.

I started working at SEDOL in 1985 as an audiologist. In 1998, after completing my 2nd Masters degree, my position switched to social worker. In 2020, I retired after 35 years at SEDOL. I have now come out of retirement to work part-time at Laremont. I love being back! I am a single mom to two beautiful daughters, both of whom I have adopted. Both of my daughters also have special needs to varying degrees. My family also consists of three dogs - a Great Pyrenees, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and a mini Goldendoodle; three cats; and lots of fish.

I started working at SEDOL in 2022 as a Social Worker at Laremont. I have had the opportunity to work at multiple levels as an educator for the last 18 years. I love being in a position to help others learn and benefit from the learning process. I believe it is vital to allow students to feel supported, but at the same time expose them to additional support and appropriate coping skills to learn and utilize throughout their lives.
