Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Tina Borges

I have been a high school teacher for SEDOL for 33 years, with 32 of those years at the high school level and 1 year at the middle school level. I earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Special Education from Western Illinois University and Master's of Arts degree in School Counseling from Roosevelt University. Most recently I have been developing and teaching Botany, working on projects such as planting seeds in our grow labs, transplanting into pots to sell in order to raise money for students in need.  Some other class activities include gardening on the school grounds and field trips to the Chicago Botanical Gardens.  We are in the process of maintaining our butterfly garden by weeding, and planting host and nectar plants to attract butterflies."
