Ms. Jennifer Kaplan

My name is Jennifer Kaplan and I teach High School grades 9/10.

This is my first year teaching at Laremont, although I am no stranger to Laremont and the ELP program.  I have been a substitute teacher for SEDOL for the last two years and worked as a paraprofessional in high school/transition at Laremont for eight years prior to that.  I have also taught high school ESY at Laremont for two summers. When I am not working I spend all the time I can (or that she will let me) with my daughter, before she leaves for college next summer, hiking, reading, doing crafts and hanging out with friends. In the summers I visit my family in my CA hometown(before COVID)! We love animals and currently have 3 cats named Clover, Bow and Pepper!

Working at Laremont as a paraprofessional is what inspired me to go back to school and get my degree!  I love the atmosphere and the students here and would not want to be anywhere else!

I am so excited to be at Laremont for my first official year of teaching (even though this school year looks nothing like we all thought it would)!!!  Whether in person or virtual, I am so thankful for my students and their families and helpers! Everyone has been so supportive. On that note, we have two paraprofessionals in the classroom that help it run as smooth as possible.  Thank you to Brianna Johnson and Nancy Curtis!  We couldn't do it without you!
