| Adapted Physical Education | Adapted Physical Education teachers provide services to meet the physical and/or cognitive needs of students who are unable to successfully participate in a general physical education program. | Emotional Disability Itinerant (EDI) Program | Emotional Disability Itinerant teachers provide a therapeutic one-on-one service to students. Students work on academic, organizational, and problem solving skills to help achieve school success in the regular education environment. High school level staff assist students in transitioning to life after high school. | Language and Social Skill Opportunities (LASSO) Itinerant Program | Language and Social Skill Opportunities Itinerant teachers provide districts with program development and implementation supports for students in need of specialized language and social skill opportunities including students with Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. | Physically Handicapped Itinerant Program | Itinerant Teachers of the Orthopedically Impaired (formerly known as Physically Handicapped or Physically Impaired) provide services to students with identified mild to severe orthopedic impairments to enable them to function effectively in the classroom and develop skills necessary for independence. | Preschool Itinerant Team | The Preschool Itinerant Team provides support for children identified with special needs in a community based site chosen and paid for by the parents. The special education team works with the classroom teacher(s) and their curriculum. | Transitional Program of Instruction (TPI) Program | Transitional Program of Instruction teachers provide direct service to students with disabilities who are also English Language Learners. These itinerant teachers have special education endorsements as well as ESL/bilingual credentials and work with students of all the ages and disabilities served by SEDOL. | Hearing Itinerant Program | Hearing Itinerant Teachers provide director consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The goal of the Hearing Itinerant Program is to facilitate academic, social and emotional success for its students.
