Parent Mentors
Welcome to the Parent Mentor Project!
Realizing the many challenges faced when parenting a child with special needs, our mission as Parent Mentors is to help you become more knowledgeable about special education and the importance of collaborating and building strong partnerships with your child’s educational team. We want to help empower you to fully participant as a partner in your child’s education. We are available on a confidential basis to assist all families and staff within SEDOL’s member districts regardless of where a child receives special education services. A more detailed explanation of our services can be found in the Parent Mentor Brochure below.
We encourage you to check this site regularly for new information and for our monthly training schedule. There are also resources on special education and a variety of other areas that may be of interest. If at any time you have questions or concerns, need additional resources, or just want another parent’s perspective, please don’t hesitate to call us. We look forward to working with you!
